Hi! My name is Emma Taylor and I am your USA National Miss Heart of the Carolinas Jr. Teen. I am so excited to announce to you all my new platform Battle Buddies. The mission of this platform is to make an impact on both animals and veterans in my community. We will be raising funds and resources for local Moore County animal shelters through fundraisers, food drives, drop boxes and more service projects. As well as spreading awareness for non-euthanization because I believe that all animals deserve to be treated with love and care. That is the pet part of it and for the veterans part I am going to be fundraising to donate towards continuing the mission. Continuing the mission is an organization that provides expense free service dogs for North Carolina veterans. These service animals can do a variety of tasks to help improve the quality of life for veterans struggling with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and MST (Military Sexual Trauma). And I hope to raise enough funds to sponsor a service dog for a veteran. My overall goal for this platform is to make a difference throughout my community and in the lives of veterans and animals.
